As Promised

Plans

I had big plans to work out today, and come home and relax. I was even planning on getting the rest of my mini album uploaded since a few folks got on me for only showing a little peek. Well, you see "what had happened was".......(you know a story is following right!) well, it really isn't my fault my plans didn't go like I had intended. I get off work and run to my session with my trainer and so after we finish, I leave there and go to the gym to make my Zumba classs....so far all is good!! Well, I'm rushing because a storm is coming and it's getting really dark, and starts pouring....right! Well, I get to the parking lot of the gym and I'm sitting there waiting for the rain to stop (and I still have about 15 minutes before my class starts) so I pull out my book and I begin reading. The rain stops, I take the keys out of the car and rembered I had my lights on. I think nothing of it, turn them off and get my Zumba class on! Well, I come out of the gym and my truck will not start! DAMN, DAMN, DAMN!!! So I wait for a minute and then call the hubby....he's on his way. Now I'm sitting in a hot ass car, with the door open (power windows) waiting, looking at the clouds to the East quickly apporaching my area yet again! I'm thinking to myself that he's not going to make it here before it starts raining......and sure enough it starts to pour down again!! ARGH he arrives, and runs to my car to keep from getting wet! We're just sitting there listening to the rain pour, now one of the things about where I live is that you can experience all four seasons within the matter of minutes. So naturally, it stops raining.....but there are cars parked all around me, so there's no way we can get to the engine to jump start my baby! So we wait, and wait watching everyone that came out of the gym to see if they were going to get in one of the 4 cars near us. By this time, I'm starving, tired, stinky & sweaty, and my body is starting to get tight!! So all my plans of being productive in the scrapping area, went straight out the window!! I've eaten, showered and I'm exhausted.......now I'm off to bed!!

Happy Memorial Day

Hopefully, you all had a wonderful 3 day weekend! Mine was very peaceful, and I'm not looking forward to getting back to the daily grind tomorrow! Just wanted to leave you with a quick post, to let you all know about challenge #13 over at BASB it's an easy one, and it'll allow you to break out those punches!

Overwhelmed

Have you ever been overwhelmed? You know when you've done all the housework, homework, jobwork......and still feel like there's more shit to be done? Or those days where you just feel like you want to cry because you see so much that needs to be done, and you don't know how to tackle it all! Excuse me, I having one of those moments........where it just seems like there aren't enough hours in the day to get it all done. You know the stuff that needs to be done, the stuff that should have been done, and all the other things in between......not to mention all the stuff you want to do!!

Think I'm just going to say "forget it all" and go to bed........

So where have I been?

I'm still around, just been super busy around the house. Every get in the mode where you feel like things around the crib need a little change. Well, I've taken the time to paint both kids rooms, the laundry room and I just finish painting my scrapbook room. Which I soon hope to turn into a functioning scrapbook studio! I had a color dilemma I'll have to tell you about later. Basically, you should just go with your first choice to save yourself some time and money! My plan is to take another trip to Ikea real soon to get all my goodies I've had my eye on for quite some time now.

I have lots to share, but it's late and I wanted to at least get something posted tonight. There's a new challenge posted at BASB it'll give you an excuse to pull out all those punches you have stashed away (Kim I'm pointing at you), we won't discuss how many she has!! (Kiss, Kiss!!) I'll try to get my layout photographed tomorrow, to show you what I did! Til then....Peace OUT!!!

Oh, I almost forgot what's a blog post without an photo, right? Here's some eye candy for you. Just a peek at what I did with the little girl's room. It's blue and brown (not sure that looks like brown in the photo) she loves it and it actually stays clean now. (I wonder how long that will last)

Been forever

since I've updated....I know! So much going on.....I'm not even going to try to catch up, maybe I'll do one of those bullet re-caps later. Here's what I've been up to lately:

Birthday Recap

As you can see I am struggling trying to keep this thing updated.  Not even sure if anyone is coming by any more, but that’s okay. I recently thought about shutting this ‘ole blog down, but then my mom mentioned that she came by and saw that I hadn’t updated in awhile, so I felt guilty. I keep telling her to leave me a comment; at least I would know she came by, right!

So let’s see what’s happened since I last updated? Oh, I celebrated a birthday!! The hubby and I had a wonderful dinner, we stuffed ourselves…but it was so good! Isn’t the menu too cute….they actually printed “Happy Birthday, Myeshia!” on it just for me!!

So real quick, here’s what I got for my birthday, despite me telling the hubby not to go overboard. He doesn’t listen too well!

I absolutely love these shoes……

Then there are these…….super sexy! I’ll actually get to wear these next week, another Masonic banquet to attend! Any excuse to wear these shoes is okay with me!! Now I just have to fine a dress!

And what is a girl without a “big ass bag”? I absolutely love this bag…..I can fit almost everything in it. Not to mention it’s cute!!

Now gifts from my wonderful mommy…..my daddy too! But I know mom picked these out! Aren’t these just the cutest!!!

 

So overall, I think 35 looks pretty damn good on me!!! I even got a new hair cut, well I actually did that before my birthday….I just haven’t taken a new photo. Maybe I’ll get around to it lata.

a Quickie

Just a Qucikie..... no not that kind, you litle nastee! So what it's been about 2 weeks since I've updated. It's all good! I only wanted to say thanks to all those who wished me a happy birthday (it was Wed, no big deal....just glad to be blessed with another year). We didn't do much, we got 12+ inches of snow dumped on us, so we stayed home and played in the snow. But tonight the hubby is taking me out to dinner to one of my favorite places.......Ocenaire. If you want a really nice place to have dinner and love seafood check 'em out. I'll be sure to take the camera with me! be back lata!

It's cold

Okay, first it's cold and I don't want to be cold anymore. The kids already have a 2hour delay tomorrow (well today since this post was completed after midnight), which is amazing, because we don't get many of those. So that means I get to sleep in a little bit......and if it's still bad I'll be working from home. I'm not going to try to get out there in that mess, it took me over an hour to get home today......I only work about 20 minutes away from my home. Either people were driving too slow (come on, why do you have to do 5mph when it's snowing)? So doubt I'm going to stress myself out tomorrow, think it'll just be better for me to work from home.....kwim!

As you can see I've been doing some rearranging around this place, and not it's not finish yet. I still got some work to do....need to get my links back up and put my albums on there as well. But over
all I'm liking the new look. I used some digital brushes from my girl Karla. Thought it was about time for a change around here.

Speaking of changes....my surgery went well and I already feel like a new person! It's like I've been freed from a long time curse! LOL and my recovery time was about 2 weeks which was wonderful! Still sore around my navel but I can't complain. However, doctor's are for me to take it easy and don't over do it......but I want to get my ass back in the gym so bad, but I have to wait just a little bit longer for that.

So I know it's been like forever since I posted something scrappy......right! Well, I'll end this post with a creation......hopefully it'll inspire. Over at BASB there was a challenge titled make it new, I won't tell you to join because I was late with my creation. But challenge #5 will be posted on the 15th so stop by, it's really pushing me out of my comfort zone. Back to challeng #4, you had to use something you would normally throw away and make it into something. Well, I chose to create a cute little door sign for my little girl. She is known for making door signs from paper to put on the outside of her door. Like we all don't already know that's her domain! Well, I decided that I would create something cute for her, and not to mention it would allow me to get rid of the beautiful artwork she creates. (Bad mommy) Well, I took a thick piece of 12x12 cardboard, you know the ones you receive in bundled paper packs. I cute it in half, covered it with some paper, added some emblishments, and chipboard letters and........Volia!!! Super easy! and oh so cute. She loved it!
